Zoey: Field Study

 Sunday Oct. 23, 2022 1:00 pm 70 → very sunny Day Length: 10 hours 38 minutes There was a lot more leaves on the ground today, and there was some pretty awesome weather for the end of October! The leaves are a completely different color since my last visit! I noticed that there was a lot more color variation in the trees than in my last visit. For example the tree in the picture above had no leaves on it, but the tree in the picture below still had green leaves on it. I don't know for sure why there is such a difference in the time it takes for the leaves to fall, but I would assume it is because there is variation in the types of trees in the area.  I thought is was cool how the branches from these two small trees were making an "archway" to walk through on the path.

  I took this video because I thought it was interesting how some of the more yellow leaves are falling before some of the other leaves. I thought it might have to do with the types of trees in my 30x30 and you can sort of see in the video that there is more fallen leaves on one side of the area than the other. 

 Tuesday Oct. 5, 2022 6:15 68º → cloudy and overcast + started drizzling a little Day Length: 11 hours 15 minutes I defiantly saw more color in the trees since my last visit. There was a lot more yellow and a lot less green than last time. Maybe this means that my 30x30 has mostly one type of tree?
