68º → cloudy and overcast + started drizzling a little

I defiantly saw more color in the trees since my last visit. There was a lot more yellow and a lot less green than last time. Maybe this means that my 30x30 has mostly one type of tree?

November 13 Field Notes

Sunday Nov. 13, 2022 1:00 pm 36 → overcast Day Length: 9 hours 52 minutes There was still leaves on the ground, but they got covered by snow. (in November!) There are some trees in my 30x30 that still have green leaves. I would assume that is because some of them are pine trees, but there are a few that I'm not sure what they are.  For example, this tree is obviously not a spruce or pine, but it's still green. While most of the trees have no leaves, these pine trees are still going strong, and are still green. As I scroll through my post, I notice that all of my pictures have almost the same colors. I think this tells us that fall is pretty much over, and that, in the famous words of John Snow, "winter is coming." I'm pretty sad to see the colors go, and hoping that everyone stays safe on the roads this winter!

November 29 Field Notes

 Tuesday Nov. 29, 2022 3:00 pm 46 → sunny Day Length: 9 hours 18 minutes All the snow on the ground was gone today because the temperature want back up. All the leaves from the trees are completely gone! Of corse, the evergreen is still going strong. Still green in November!  This was me waving goodbye to my location :( I am going to miss the beauty of this place, but luckily it's my grandparents house so I can come visit whenever I want!

October 11 Video

  I took this video because I thought it was interesting how some of the more yellow leaves are falling before some of the other leaves. I thought it might have to do with the types of trees in my 30x30 and you can sort of see in the video that there is more fallen leaves on one side of the area than the other.
